Roar Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode

Baleful Gigginox raises its head, then roars loudly at the hunter. If performed in cave areas, this will cause icicles to fall from the ceiling, potentially hitting hunters. This is one of the few roars that requires High-Grade Earlpugs to render ineffective.

This move is performed when Baleful Gigginox first spots the hunter, regardless of whether it is on the ground or on the ceiling, and when in the transition in and out of Rage Mode.

Rage Mode
Baleful Gigginox will occasionally roar multiple times in a row when enraged.
Evasive Maneuver

This attack does not deal any damage (although the icicles that fall from the ceiling may inflict minor damage to the hunter), so it is not absolutely necessary to avoid this move. Using High-Grade Earplugs will render the roar ineffective, as will blocking, although blocking drains stamina, and causes moderate knock-back.
If the roar is negated/blocked, the time in which Baleful Gigginox is roaring can be used to inflict some damage.

Body Slam Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode

Baleful Gigginox rears up onto its back legs, then "flops" onto the hunter with its wings spread out, covering a reasonably large area. It will take the wyvern a few moments to reposition itself after this attack.
This attack is commonly performed when the Baleful Gigginox is close to the hunter.

Rage Mode
None worth mentioning
Evasive Maneuver

Rolling to the gap in between either of Baleful Gigginox's wings and head is a good idea, as this should mean that the hunter avoids getting hit. Simply rolling away may also prove effective, but is dangerous, as Baleful Gigginox's head can stretch while performing this attack, making it difficult to predict the range of this attack.
Blocking is also possible, making this a viable alternative for hunters using a weapon capable of doing so.
If this attack is successfully avoided/blocked, the time it takes Baleful Gigginox to recover can be used to inflict some damage to its head or body.

Thunder Spit Ailment Inflicted: Paralysis
Normal Mode

Baleful Gigginox shuffles slightly backwards, before rearing its head back, then hurling a glob of an electrical substance towards the hunter. When this lands, it splits into three different balls, which move across the ground over a large distance. If hit by one of these three electrical charges, the hunter will become paralysed, and be vulnerable to follow-up attacks

Rage Mode
None worth mentioning
Evasive Maneuver

Roll to either side of the Thunder Spit before it lands, as it has very little horizontal range. If far away, and the Thunder Spit has already landed and split into three, try to run in-between the charges.
Blocking this attack is also effective, making this a suitable option for those using a weapon capable of doing so.
After performing this attack, Baleful Gigginox will pause for a few moments, so if the hunter is close, they will have the opportunity to deal some damage to the wyvern. If far away, there will be no option for counter-attack, so simply wait until Baleful Gigginox comes closer, or run towards it.

Thunder Backjump Ailment Inflicted: Thunderblight
Normal Mode

Baleful Gigginox fires a glob of an electrical substance, similar to that used in the Thunder Spit, but will launch itself backwards while doing so. It will usually land on a wall after performing this attack if in a cave area.
Baleful Gigginox generally performs this attack when close to the hunter, in an attempt to increase the distance between the hunter and itself.

Rage Mode
None worth mentioning
Evasive Maneuver

This attack can be difficult to anticipate, and therefore can prove difficult to avoid. In the short time Baleful Gigginox is rearing back to prepare to spit, roll to the side 1-2 times, and the glob of electricity should miss.
Blocking is also effective, making this a viable alternative for those using a weapon capable of doing so.
As Baleful Gigginox moves far backwards after using this move, often landing on a wall, it will be impossible for Blademasters to counter-attack. If the attack is successfully avoided, gunners will be able to continue to attack Baleful Gigginox.

Overhead Leap Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode

Baleful Gigginox leaps high into the air towards the hunter, landing in the position the hunter was as this attack began. After landing it will take a few moments to recover.
This attack is generally performed when Baleful Gigginox is a moderate-large distance away from the hunter, and it wishes to shorten this distance.

Rage Mode
None worth mentioning
Evasive Maneuver

This attack covers a significant area, meaning it may prove difficult to avoid. Simply running away from the location the hunter was at when the Baleful Gigginox began this attack is probably the safest option. Panic Diving is also a suitable option if the hunter's weapon is sheathed, as the period of invulnerability this grants can be very useful.
Blocking is also effective, making this a suitable option for hunters using a weapon capable of doing so.
If this attack is successfully avoided/blocked, there will be a brief moment in which Baleful Gigginox becomes vulnerable to most attacks.

180 Degree Leap Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode

Baleful Gigginox leaps high into the air, spinning 180 degrees and landing behind the hunter. As it lands, its' head "flops" down, which can also hit hunters.
Baleful Gigginox uses this attack when the hunter is close, in an attempt to get itself into an advantageous position.
This attack may be chained with another, usually a Neck Swipe.

Rage Mode
None worth mentioning
Evasive Maneuver

Roll towards where Baleful Gigginox was at the beginning of this attack, and this should miss. Rolling to the sides 2-3 times may also work, but this is more difficult since the Baleful Gigginox covers quite a wide area upon landing.
Blocking is possible, but players should bear in mind that they must block in the opposite direction from where Baleful Gigginox lands, as the head counts as hitting from behind if the hunter is facing the wyvern.
If this attack is successfully avoided/blocked, there will be a few moments in which Baleful Gigginox will be vulnerable to attacks, although players should be cautious, as it may directly follow this attack with a Neck Swipe.

Charge Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode

Baleful Gigginox runs towards the hunter, swinging its neck side-to-side slightly as it does so, damaging the hunter if hit.
This attack is usually performed when the hunter is a long distance from Baleful Gigginox, as it causes the wyvern to get close.
This attack may be directly followed on by another attack, generally a Neck Swipe.

Rage Mode
This attack is slightly faster when Baleful Gigginox is in Rage Mode.
Evasive Maneuver

Run to the side of Baleful Gigginox, as it cannot change direction mid-charge. If caught too close, rolling at the last second is a good way to gain some valuable distance from the wyvern.
This attack can be blocked, making this a suitable option for those using a weapon capable of doing so.
If the hunter is behind Baleful Gigginox when it finishes this attack, they can attack for a brief period before it turns around. If in front of Baleful Gigginox when this attack ends, rolling away as quickly as possible is advised, as it may directly follow this attack with a Neck Swipe.

Electricity Field Ailment Inflicted: Thunderblight, Paralysis
Normal Mode

Similar to the Electricity Field attack of the Khezu. Baleful Gigginox lifts its belly up, then quickly lowers it, causing a large electric spark around it for a short amount of time.
This attack affects a moderate area around Baleful Gigginox, causing the hunter to be damaged, as well as inflicted with Thunderblight, if hit.

Rage Mode
None worth mentioning.
Evasive Maneuver

Move away from Baleful Gigginox, making sure to be a moderate distance away, as this attack affects the area around itself.
This attack can only be blocked with the skill "Guard Boost", so the player should not attempt to do so if using an armour set without this skill.
After performing this attack, there will be a brief period in which the player can attack the wyvern.

Thunder Egg Lay Ailment Inflicted: Thunderblight, Paralysis
Normal Mode

Baleful Gigginox plants its tail on the ground, before rearing its head back and letting out a quiet roar (not requiring Earplugs). As it does this, Baleful Gigginox raises its tail, revealing a large blob of an electrical substance. After a few seconds, this blob explodes, damaging and inflicting Thunderblight on the hunter if they are nearby. If this blob is attacked, it will detonate earlier.

Rage Mode
This attack is performed more often.
Evasive Maneuver

This attack can only damage the hunter if they are nearby the "egg". If the hunter is far away from the electrical blob, they can use this time to attack the Baleful Gigginox's head, as the exploding blob will not reach the hunter if they are near the head.

Hang-over Thunder Spit Ailment Inflicted: Thunderblight, Paralysis
Normal Mode

This attack is only performed when Baleful Gigginox is on the ceiling, and therefore can only be used when it is in a cave area. Baleful Gigginox anchors itself to the ceiling with its tail, then swings towards the hunter, flinging a blob of electricity as it does so. Baleful Gigginox then repeats this procedure twice, before either continuing to walk on the ceiling, or perform a hang-over smash.

Rage Mode
Performed slightly more often.
Evasive Maneuver

The thunder globs will be aimed at where the hunter was originally, so running in a circular path around Baleful Gigginox should cause the attacks to miss. If in doubt, rolling at the last second before the glob would hit increases the chance of the hunter escaping unharmed.
This attack can be blocked, but should be noted that if hit by all three thunder globs, a large chunk of stamina will be taken.
Hunters should prepare themselves for the possible hang-over smash that may immediately follow on from this attack.
If Baleful Gigginox remains on the ceiling after performing this attack, there will be no opportunity for Blademasters to counter-attack, other than with Bounce Bombs. Gunners can still continue to attack it during this time however.

Pounce Ailment Inflicted: If allowed to finish, Thunderblight.
Normal Mode

Baleful Gigginox performs the same action as for the Electricity Field attack, except that it stops halfway, and "pounces" at the hunter. If hit, the hunter will be trapped by the wyvern, who will then proceed to continue attacking the hunter, causing damage over time. If a certain period of time passes without the hunter managing to break free, Baleful Gigginox will fire a ball of electricity into the hunter, then fling them into the air.

Rage Mode
Performed slightly more frequently
Evasive Maneuver

Roll to either side of this attack, as this attack is directed forwards, rather than to the sides.
Blocking is also effective, making this a suitable option for those using a weapon capable of doing so.
If this attack is successfully avoided/blocked, there will be a brief period in which Baleful Gigginox is recovering from this attack, which can be exploited by the player in order to deal some damage to it.
If hit by this attack, the player will be required to "button mash" or use a dung bomb to escape.

Hang-over Smash Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode

This attack is only performed while Baleful Gigginox is on the ceiling or a wall, and hence can only be performed in cave areas. Baleful Gigginox lifts one of its front legs, then flings itself at the hunter, flipping 180 degrees as it does so, so that it lands on its stomach.
This attack has considerable range, and is generally performed whenever Baleful Gigginox goes from the ceiling to the floor.

Rage Mode
None worth mentioning
Evasive Maneuver

Run away from Baleful Gigginox, slightly to the side, and this attack should miss. If the hunter's weapon is sheathed, Panic Diving is a good option, as it allows the hunter to avoid any damage during the large period of invulnerability it grants.
Blocking is also possible, making this a suitable alternative for hunters using a weapon capable of doing so.
After Baleful Gigginox has executed this attack, it will be vulnerable to attacks for a brief period, which the player should take advantage of, in order to deal some damage.

Neck Swipe Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode

One of Baleful Gigginox's most common attacks. It swipes at the hunter twice with its neck, which extends considerably when it does so. The first swipe will be performed to the right, and the second swipe to the left.
This attack covers a surprisingly large area, both to the sides and forwards, and may be immediately followed on from a Charge.

Rage Mode
None worth mentioning
Evasive Maneuver

This attack has slightly less range to Baleful Gigginox's right-hand side, so it is advised for the hunter to move to this side. Standing behind the wyvern while it performs this attack is safe, so the hunter should attempt to do so if at all possible.
Blocking is possible, making this a suitable alternative for hunters using a weapon capable of doing so.
Baleful Gigginox has little-to-no recovery time after this attack, so the player will only be able to get 2-3 hits in at most after it executes this attack.

Tail Swipe Ailment Inflicted: None
Normal Mode

Almost identical to the Neck Swipe, but Baleful Gigginox swipes the hunter twice with its tail instead of its neck.
Performed when the hunter is standing behind the wyvern, and often after performing another attack, such as an Overhead Leap or a 180 Degree Leap.

Rage Mode
None worth mentioning
Evasive Maneuver
Similar to the Neck Swipe, in that the player should try to move to the right-hand side of Baleful Gigginox, but it is advised to move towards the wyvern's front, as this attack cannot harm the hunter standing there.
As with the Neck Wipe, this attack can be blocked, making this a viable alternative for a hunter using a weapon capable of doing so.
This attack has a slightly longer period in which Baleful Gigginox is vulnerable to attacks than the Neck Swipe, as it has to turn its body to face the hunter afterwards. This means that the hunter can inflict a decent amount of damage after avoiding/blocking this attack.
